Modulist Creative began with a problem Matt Ogilvie had seen repeatedly: growing brands need a constant stream of strong creative, but the systems designed to produce it rarely move at the speed they require.

Internal teams are often stretched thin. Traditional agencies can introduce significant cost, long timelines, and layers of account management. Meanwhile, advertising platforms demand more concepts, more testing, and more iteration than ever before.

Founded in 2026, Modulist Creative was built as a more focused alternative.

The remote-first performance creative agency works primarily with direct-to-consumer and e-commerce brands scaling their paid media. Its model centers on one- and two-day creative sprints, during which a brand receives the agency’s concentrated attention, a set of strategy-backed ad concepts and designs, editable working files, and a roadmap for testing what comes next. Modulist describes the model simply: “your creative agency for a day.”

The compressed timeline is not about rushing the creative process. It is about removing the parts that often slow it down.

Rather than passing a brief through a chain of account managers, strategists, and production teams, Modulist connects brands more directly with the people developing the work. The designers are treated as creative partners, not anonymous production resources working at the bottom of an agency structure.

That philosophy shapes both the client experience and the culture Modulist is trying to build.

Ogilvie believes independent creative talent should be able to do meaningful, well-compensated work without being absorbed into a large agency. He also believes smaller, growth-stage companies should be able to access excellent strategy and design without carrying the overhead historically associated with it.

The result is a model designed to respect both sides of the creative relationship: the brand that needs clarity and momentum, and the people whose judgment, craft, and imagination make the work possible.

That human emphasis has become more intentional as AI-generated content fills advertising feeds. Modulist is not trying to compete by producing the greatest possible volume of interchangeable creative. It is betting that the brands people remember will still be shaped by human instinct: the ability to recognize what feels true, what will resonate, and what is worth saying in the first place.

Technology can accelerate production and remove unnecessary friction. But Modulist believes it should support the creative process rather than flatten the people behind it.

At its core, the company is working toward a more direct and equitable creative industry: one where talented people are valued, growing brands can compete, and speed does not have to come at the expense of care.

For one focused day, Modulist gives a brand its full attention.

The larger ambition is to help return that same attention and value to the people doing the work.
