Global Trauma Alliance exists to close a critical gap in trauma-informed care: the knowledge is available, but the people who need it often cannot access it in the moment.

A division of Trauma Free World, the organization brings together expertise in trauma care, technology, and innovation to help more adults respond well to children affected by abuse, neglect, abandonment, and other forms of trauma.

Its flagship initiative, Ticco, is an AI-powered trauma-informed care coach built for foster and adoptive parents, teachers, nonprofit staff, volunteers, and other caregivers. It provides practical, on-demand guidance when a trainer, caseworker, or experienced colleague may not be available.

The purpose is not to replace therapists, social workers, or human relationships. It is to help caregivers better understand difficult behavior, respond with greater confidence, and preserve connection during stressful moments.

That reflects the organization’s larger belief about technology: it should strengthen care, not distance people from it. The relationship between a child and a safe adult remains the center of the work. Technology is valuable when it helps that adult stay calm, present, and equipped to respond well.
